Under its flickering fairy lights, the patio in Ochoymedio's tropical garden looks otherworldly. This Panamanian restaurant gives off a rustic yet romantic feel. In the kitchen, starred chef Andrés Madrigal prepares modern brasserie food inspired from all over the world. Seating in one of the white iron-wrought chairs of the outdoor terrace, you can start the meal with a house cocktail specially prepared by the mixologist. The Hacia Lo Salvaje for instance is a sweet mix of rum, lime, ginger, cinnamon and basil – to be enjoyed in moderation.
Indulge in a Japanese-Peruvian combination for the catch of the day, prepared as a ceviche and served with litchi, coconut, jalapeños, pineapple and Nikkei sauce. Other specialities are available, like the French classic boeuf bourguignon or the Italian ravioli, revisited with mushrooms, ricotta, kale and truffle. Best savoured under the benevolent gaze of the Virgin Mary, depicted on the huge and gorgeous fresco that adorns one of the patio's walls.
