Behind a stone facade in the historic district of Old Montreal, this 1870 building, an old fabric warehouse, conceals a hotel with industrial decor and contemporary furnishings. Arched windows and cast-iron columns surround the hall on the concrete floor, strewn with chairs and tables designed by Bertoia Bird.
Each of the 30 rooms, which are all different from one another, reveals a magnificent panorama of the city and each contains angular furniture in oak and bare brick walls. Designer bathrooms with egg-shaped tubs are the ultimate comfort elements dear to North American luxury hotels. Ochre sheets and comforters cover the more than comfortably sized beds. In this minimalist sanctuary, the gym and room service are open at all hours.
Have a massage in your room and lunch on a daily market special at the restaurant Gault.
