Discover the most beautiful beaches in Sicily

With about 1,500 kilometres of coastline, Sicily unravels a paradise of crystal blue waters. To relax and enjoy, everyone go to la spiaggia!

If the island carries a fire within, it also offers an exceptional coastline. Spread out and varied, from crescent-shape fine sand to shingle coves, beaches draw another picture of Sicily.
As a strange horizon of black lava rock, San Giovanni li Cuti remains Catania's most famous beach. However, you only have to head towards Noto – a Baroque gem – to find many other idyllic landscapes… Filled with parasols in high season, Eloro and Calamosche are among those golden sandy Eldorados very much sought after, and therefore rapidly crowded.
If you crave some intimacy, head to the Spiaggia Gelsomineto, considered to be the most beautiful beach of the entire island. This hidden paradise, near the Cassibile River and nestled between Avola and Syracuse, is surrounded with stone pines, holm oaks and reeds. There, cicadas are the only ones breaking the silence…
