A lovely 1920s-styled building shelters the museum. Since 2001, it has been MOCA's (Museum of Contemporary Art) mission to give local and upcoming artists a platform to express their art, while also inviting other creators from around the world. Li Chen, one of Taiwan's most important artistic figures, was given a retrospective of his work in 2017. The museum favours temporary exhibitions and plays an important part in the evolutions of the Taiwanese society. MOCA recently organised a series of meetings around the LGBT community and encouraged graffiti artists to legally take on the streets, as part of the Street Art Fun project. MOCA aims to favour the hatching of new artistic perspectives by introducing a large audience to a panel of contemporary creation. Each exhibition is devised with that goal in mind. In the shop, you'll find figurines and other funny items, unique souvenirs that will fit perfectly in your luggage!
