Birdsong SF, an ode to San Francisco's local cuisine

Far from the fusion gastronomy modern tendencies, Birdsong SF gives pride of place to the typical cuisine of the San Francisco Bay area.

With its wooden logs, turquoise facade and country-like aspect, the place stands out from the SoMa neighbourhood, new hotspot of San Francisco's tech area. The goal of chef Chris Bleidorn is to pay tribute to the cuisine of the west coast, using ingredients directly supplied by regional producers. Installed on turquoise bench seats in an intimate dining room around the open-plan kitchen, food lovers are being offered two different menus, changing according to the season: the 5-course one is available on week days only, and the tasting menu counts no less than 13 dishes! High-quality products such as venison and buffalo meat are at the centre of the culinary experience devised by the chef. With a decoration reminiscent of the old speakeasies where wood is everywhere, Birdsong SF provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy this typically local gastronomy.
